Our Sunday School meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday each month. We start in church at 9.30am and go out to the vestry for activities after the first hymn, returning at the beginning of the communion. We are pleased to see children under three years old if they are accompanied by an adult.
Our focus is on enjoyable craft activities and we use these to explore some of the Bible’s wonderful stories. During the year the children take an active part in some of the services. We sing songs and perform short plays at some special services e.g. Christmas, Mothering Sunday, Harvest.
If you are bringing a child to Sunday School for the first time please speak to one of the sidespeople, who will greet you when you come into church, and they will introduce you to whoever is leading Sunday School on that morning.
There is also a soft carpet, floor cushions, toys and books at the back of church so that families with children can feel completely at home during our services. The congregation love to hear children in church so please don’t worry about making some noise!
